Senior Cyber Security Engineer (m/f)

As a key member of the central Information Security Services team (“ISS”), the Senior Security Engineer directly contributes to the design, promotion and delivery (directly or via selected partners) of prevention and detection services dedicated to the RTL Group Business Units. He actively develops and maintains a set of central applications (“Referenced Solutions”) supporting the services (such as vulnerability scan, pen testing or SIEM systems). As part of the overall corporate organization, he also contributes to the continuous evolution of RTL Group IS policies and procedures.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Take part in the pre-study, design, implementation, and continuous monitoring of RTL Group IS policies, procedures, incident response and forensics, referenced security solutions and risk assessments.
  • Provide SLA based IS services such as Vulnerability Management and Penetration Testing to RTL Group Business Units. Review reports and provide IS professional advisory.
  • Subject matter expert for Information Security, consulting to technical and non-technical management.
  • Evaluate and recommend security technologies and solutions. Plan and execute projects to implement new technologies and controls or to upgrade existing ones. Create and maintain system, procedural and support documentation.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of security policies, standards, processes, and guidelines.
  • Collect information on emerging threats including software vulnerabilities. Coordinate triage of and response to vulnerability information.
  • Participate in long-term strategy and planning for Information Security.

 

Your Profile:

Required Skills:

  • 5-years of work experience in IT Security is required
  • 4-year college/university degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Cybersecurity Analyst (CySa+), or equivalent
  • Minimum 2-years of experience with assessments in Windows and Unix
  • Expertise of IT security controls and IT infrastructure
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, visualization and listening) skills
  • Scripting/automation experience such as Python, PowerShell, and API integrations

Preferred Skills

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Offensive Security Certified Professional or Expert (OSCP, OSCE) certification
  • Understanding of cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure IaaS and SaaS
  • Ability to communicate technical topics to a non-technical audience
  • The ability to research and solve complex security and networking challenges
  • Experience in the design of strong security architectures that protect environments from threats and vulnerabilities
  • Experience with SIEM security products such as: ArcSight, QRadar, Nitro, Splunk, LogRhythm and infrastructure components such as proxies, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP etc.
  • Self-starter who can work independently as well as in a team setting.
