Data Engineer

RTL Hungary launched a new data team in 2019 to support its digital operations, including the successful AVOD service RTL Most and the premium VOD service RTL Most+. Now we would like to extend our team with a Data Engineer, who would support our data operations by developing a cloud based data infrastructure and afterwards maintaining the system and monitoring data quality.

Requirements:

Relevant BSc / MSc degree

3-5 years of experience on the field of data engineering

Strong knowledge of SQL, database architecture

Experience with cloud based data infrastructure (Azure or AWS)

ETL experience (e.g. SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Python based pipelines etc.)

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

Express technical and business concepts, ideas, and conclusions orally and in writing

Willingness to explore data and systems that have not been analysed before

Effective communication in English (written and verbal)

Being familiar with Python is a big plus

Main responsibilities:

Participate in data warehouse implementation projects

Perform acquisition, cleansing and processing of various internal and external data from different data sources

Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets to enrich and leverage enterprise data asset

Building, managing, monitoring, and scheduling ETL pipelines

Design data models and lead their implementation

Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality

Build and maintain infrastructure

Develop tools/scripts to monitor data quality
