The Transportation Department is seeking a Transportation Specialist to join their team.  Work week are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.



Job Description:


Be the primary point of operational contact for interdepartmental inquiries while being actively involved in our daily transportation operations including, but not limited to:

  • Coordination of inbound and outbound transportation for Westminster, MD and Crawfordsville, IN facilities via truckload, LTL, small package, air and ocean freight carriers
  • Coordination of drop shipments from all US bindery locations (including galley distribution) directly to customers
  • Pool distribution from locations throughout the United States
  • Coordination of US Customs clearance, consolidations, and inland transportation for imports
  • Preparation of international documentation for export shipments
  • Maintenance of new release schedules as necessary
  • Research of freight payment issues to ensure timely payment of carrier invoices
  • Maintenance of routing tables in the warehouse management system
  • User support for warehouse management and transportation management systems as needed




  • Knowledge of spreadsheet, database and word processing applications
  • Knowledge of import/export operations helpful, but not required
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations helpful, but not required

  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • The anticipated core working hours for this position are Mon – Fri 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Candidates must have the flexibility to deviate from these core hours as required.
