Job Summary:  Responsible for securing orders and coordinating with internal teams on marketing opportunities in Public Libraries within an assigned territory.

 

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  1. Conducts outreach to public libraries to sell books and audiobooks, and to ascertain and develop marketing opportunities
  2. Prepares and delivers presentations of upcoming, current, and backlist titles to selectors and selection-committees
  3. Keeps abreast of new titles by regularly reading manuscripts and AREs for the purpose of educating and informing customers
  4. Fosters one-on-one relationships with Sales Managers located in corresponding territories in order to refer opportunities and challenges in the marketplace
  5. Creates and distributes semi-monthly newsletters to customers
  6. Interacts and coordinates with colleagues to present joint webinars for public librarians

 

 

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements (education, experience, skills, knowledge, physical abilities):

  • Minimum of three years of related experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to work on multiple projects at a time
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PPT, Excel) and Outlook
  • Genuine interest in publishing and books
  • Ability to travel approximately 1-2 times per year for meetings, as needed
