Purchasing Coordinator
The Purchasing Department is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to join the Logistics Team.
Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Job Description:
- Review and process incoming requisitions/requests
- Selecting appropriate vendors based on price/availability to meet requestors’ needs
- Generating purchase orders in SAP
- Research products and companies as needed to fulfill requests
- Assist with new vendor set ups
- Maintain accurate records of items purchased including costs and deliveries
- Perform clerical duties including filing, copying, scanning information as required to follow up/complete purchase orders.
- Communicate effectively on a high professional level, establish, and maintain good working relationships with customers, co-workers and stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Ability to efficiently multi-task
- Ability to work accurately and independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn new methods & systems required to adapt to changes in the work environment
- PC Proficiency to include Word, Excel and Outlook
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Purchasing Experience is a plus
