Project Analyst, International Transportation

The Project Analyst, International Transportation shares responsibility for all aspects of Penguin Random House’s import and export programs.

 

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Compliance with all US Customs and other government regulations.
  • Coordination of post-entry US Customs activity to include Duty Drawback and other related activities
  • Oversight of vendor relationships including, ocean carriers, drayage companies, international couriers, freight forwarders and customs brokers.
  • Oversight of daily international transportation activity and timely reporting to management and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaboration with International Transportation Manager regarding vendor selection, rate negotiations, and the implementation of new programs and relationships as needed.
  • Identification of cost saving and process improvement opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree preferred
  • Licensed Customs Broker preferred
  • Experience with US Customs compliance and post-entry activity preferred
  • Strong knowledge of import/export operations, regulations and procedures
  • Experience leading the day to day workflow of external vendors preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
