The Westminster Operations Center for Penguin Random House is seeking a skilled Parts Clerk to join our growing team. The Parts Clerk will support our Industrial Maintenance team across multiple storeroom areas. This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of MRO spare parts inventory, including issuing, receiving, restocking, and organizing materials to ensure availability for maintenance activities. The Parts Clerk performs routine cycle counts, reconciles variances, and maintains min/max levels to sustain accurate and reliable inventory.

 

In addition, this position maintains item master data in the CMMS, including part details, manufacturers, and lead times. The role coordinates closely with Maintenance, Purchasing, and Vendors to track special orders, address substitutions, and resolve stockouts. Regular reporting on inventory performance—such as turns, spending, slow movers, and upcoming kitting needs—is also expected. A successful Parts Clerk ensures the storeroom remains clean, well-labeled, and compliant with 5S, and safety standards while operating powered industrial equipment as needed.

 We are seeking an individual’s who excel in fast paced environments and can adapt to the ever-changing needs of the business.

 

Requirements:

•    High school diploma or equivalent.
•    Ability to operate powered industrial equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks).
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams); able to prepare spreadsheets, reports, and communicate effectively through email and chat.
•    Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
•    Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in an industrial storeroom setting.

 

 

Desired but not required: 

  • Familiarity with CMMS and inventory management systems (eMaint, SAP PM, Maximo, Fiix, or similar).
  • Knowledge of MRO items such as bearings, belts, sensors, and gearboxes.
  • Experience with cycle counting, kitting for planned work, and resolving inventory variances.
  • Knowledge of 5S practices and storeroom organization.

To qualify for this position, you must be at least 18 years of age, have basic PC skills and physically capable of performing heavy lifting tasks. 

 

 We are seeking candidates interested in working our 2nd shift: Monday-Friday, 3pm - 11pm.

The salary range for this position is dependent on candidate experience, with a starting point from $38,000 to $48,000 ($18.26-23.07 per hour) + 12.5% Shift Differential and opportunities to increase with further experience and proven skillsetsAll positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to company results.
