Penguin Random House’s International Sales department is currently seeking a Senior Manager or Associate Director focusing on the US Spanish Language sales as well as sales into Latin America.  Specifically, this position will be the main liaison between our sales teams and the publishing teams for Vintage Español, while also managing our sales in Latin America and Mexico for a wide variety of PRH imprints and client publishers. 

 

Other responsibilities include:

  1. Creating quarterly sales reports for publishers and senior sales management to identify challenges and opportunities.
  2. Setting sales estimates and print goals for Vintage Español titles and monitoring sales against these goals and publishing priorities.
  3. Sells PRH and client titles within an established account base in Latin America.
  4. Oversees day-to-day responsibilities of Sales Manager selling titles within Mexico and into the US Spanish Language channel.
  5. Analyzes sales data and helps formulate strategies to maximize sales.

  • Minimum of 5 years of prior publishing sales experience
  • Expert fluency in Spanish
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with employees across all functions and levels of an organization
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to effectively manage multiple, competing priorities
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 20% of the time
  • International sales experience is preferred
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred
  • Fluency in Brazilian Portuguese is a plus
