Senior Business Analyst (Open to remote)

Penguin Random House (PRH), the world’s largest trade book publisher, is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our 5-member SAP Rights Management (RMS)/Finance team. This team supports a custom SAP Rights Management module as well as our Finance and Controlling modules. 

 

In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of activities including process mapping, project management, requirements gathering, and creating functional specifications and documentation. You will play a key role in analyzing business requirements and designing solutions to improve business processes. 

 

Specific responsibilities include: 

  • Analyzes business requirements and designs solutions to enhance business processes. 
  • Manages complex, multi-system projects with diverse stakeholder groups effectively. 
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure business requirements are understood and solutions meet business needs. 
  • Conducts functional and technical analysis, creates system design documentation, and performs configuration changes in a highly customized SAP system. 
  • Develops and executes test plans to ensure solutions meet functional and technical requirements. 
  • Participates in the development of training materials and train end-users on new system functionality. 
  • Provides ongoing support and troubleshooting for systems and processes related to SAP-RMS and SAP FI/CO modules. 
  • Facilitates the integration of acquired businesses. 

 

Please apply if you meet the following qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience in SAP business systems analysis or related fields
  • Experience with configuring, implementing, and maintaining FI-G/L, FI-COPA, and FI-AA modules is a plus
  • Knowledge of key finance functions, including double-entry bookkeeping, P&L, Balance Sheet, and reconciliations
  • Ability to work closely with ABAP developers
  • Analytical, data-driven approach; logical thinker with the ability to articulate meaningful conclusions from data
  • Experience in designing and implementing solutions to optimize business processes 
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across different departments and levels of the organization
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work across multiple projects, working with supervisors as needed
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications 
  • Ability to thrive both independently and in a team environment
  • Experience in book publishing is a plus
  • Project management experience and familiarity with tools like JIRA and ServiceNow are a plus

 

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to company results.
