Publishing Assistant - Crown

 

The Crown Publishing Group is seeking to fill the position of Publishing Assistant to support both the President & Publisher, and the EVP & Deputy Publisher of the division. We are looking for an individual who can provide comprehensive support and assistance in the daily operations of this office. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to all areas of the publishing process.

The individual who assumes this position must be able to manage the calendar independently while also exercising the utmost sensitivity to the executive’s responsibilities and needs. This individual must communicate and interact effectively, efficiently and professionally with management and employees at all levels of the organization and with external clients and contacts. High ethical standards and a thorough understanding of the importance of discretion and confidentiality are essential to the role.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

 

  • Handling and screening phone calls, mail, and email
  • Maintaining calendars, and making travel arrangements
  • Coordinating meetings and taking minutes during
  • Processing expense reports
  • Providing agendas, PowerPoint presentations, and comprehensive itineraries
  • Handling special projects to support the overall efforts of the division

  • 2 years administrative experience ideally in a publishing environment
  • Strong Written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and set priorities
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Programs


Successful candidates will be happy performing normal administrative duties while also demonstrating the ability to take initiative and exercise independent thinking where needed.
