National Accounts Sales Assistant

DK is currently seeking a National Accounts Sales Assistant to join the DK US sales team.

 

This position will offer administrative help for the two account managers that oversee selling DK titles to the Mass Merch channel (including warehouse clubs, key national retailers, grocery, drug, military accounts, and more).

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in prepping sales managers for account presentations and submissions
  • General administrative support as needed (i.e. scheduling meetings, setting up conference rooms, organizing account mailings, assisting at industry trade shows, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain sales tracking grids
  • Communicating regularly between key distributors and retailers and Penguin Random House Customer Service, Data Management, and Warehouse Operations to ensure accurate and timely delivery of orders
  • Communicating and maintaining accurate title information for account databases
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of competitor, consumer, and industry trends
  • Attend key account meetings and industry trade shows as needed
  • Liaise with the US & UK Production & Creative teams, as well as Marketing & Publicity, Proprietary, Managing Editorial, and other internal groups to maximize sales efforts and efficiencies

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Interest in sales
  • Highly organized with the ability to successfully work on multiple projects at a time and adapt to changing priorities
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint preferred
  • Office experience, especially within publishing a plus
