Marketing Assistant, Random House

Random House is seeking to fill the position of Marketing Assistant to support the EVP, Executive Creative Director, Marketing and Public Relations and SVP, Director of Marketing of the division. We are looking for an individual who can provide comprehensive support and assistance in the daily operations of this office. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to marketing, publicity and the overall publishing process. 

 

The individual who assumes this position must be able to manage the calendar independently while also exercising the utmost sensitivity to the executives’ responsibilities and needs. This individual must communicate and interact effectively, efficiently, and professionally with management and employees at all levels of the organization and with external clients and contacts. The candidate must be able to think independently, trouble-shoot, and be flexible with work flow and process. High ethical standards and a thorough understanding of the importance of discretion and confidentiality are essential to the role.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

 

  • Maintaining calendars, and making travel arrangements
  • Coordinating meetings and taking minutes during
  • Handling and screening phone calls, mail, and email
  • Processing expense reports
  • Providing agendas, PowerPoint presentations, and comprehensive itineraries
  • Handling special projects to support the overall efforts of the division

 

Please apply if you meet the following minimum requirements:

 

  • 1 years administrative experience ideally in a publishing environment
  • Strong Written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and set priorities
  • Proficiency in ZOOM and all Microsoft Office Programs


Successful candidates will be happy performing normal administrative duties while also demonstrating the ability to take initiative and exercise independent thinking where needed.
