Junior Producer – Audio (2 positions available)

 

Penguin Random House Audio, part of the Digital Publishing Group, is seeking two highly motivated Junior Producers to join its Producer team. The Junior Producers will be responsible for overseeing the production of 40 audiobooks per year, and will support a team of accomplished producers in all stages of audiobook production as needed.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Collaborate closely with staff producers, authors, freelance professionals, including actors/narrators, talent agents, directors, sound engineers, and sound editors
  • Produce PRH audio programs on a set schedule, within budget, and according to specifications
  • Interpret text and translate the written word into spoken audio with inspired casting that is true to the author’s vision
  • Network and make connections within the industry and related industries in regards to talent development
  • Support producers on the team with complex titles such as multicast productions and original content
  • Work closely with the development team on the Ahab casting platform

 

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

 

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in publishing, audiobooks, or related performance medium
  • Excellent communication and diplomacy skills, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
  • Able to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Interest in current events within the industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel to LA office as needed
