Penguin Random House Audio seeks a Digital Operations Assistant to work within the divisional Operations team, primarily supporting the administrative aspects of the audiobook download workflow. This division publishes 1000+ titles per year across multiple formats and genres, and the Digital Operations Assistant will be responsible for maintaining tracking and archiving systems while interfacing with external vendors and internal divisions. This is an exciting opportunity to learn about audio publishing with a focus on the rapidly-growing download format.


Specific responsibilities include:

  • Update internal systems daily with title tracking data; communicate updates to vendors.
  • Create weekly/monthly reports for internal departments and vendors.
  • Verification of title information and availability on all vendor websites.
  • Coordination with audio producer teams in NYC and LA locations to help track title delivery dates.
  • Work with other internal departments (editorial, marketing, publicity, and production) on fulfilling requests and title scheduling.
  • Works on special projects as needed.


The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • An interest in books and the publishing industry, strongly preferred. 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently on a large volume of titles while also working collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently a must.
  • Excellent PC skills, including proficiency with Excel and the ability to learn internal database and tracking systems.
