Digital Operations Assistant - Audio Group

Penguin Random House Audio, the premiere publisher in the audiobook industry, is seeking a Digital Operations Assistant to work within the audio operations team, primarily supporting audio production, freelancer payments, audio art permissions, and clearance fees. This division publishes over 1,400 top-quality fiction and nonfiction audiobooks per year across multiple formats and genres. This is an exciting opportunity to learn about audio publishing and to work with a diverse range of genres!


Specifically, the Digital Operations Assistant:

  1. Works with the audio producer teams in NYC and LA locations to code and process all recording production invoices from freelancers and vendors.
  2. Works with the audio art team to code and process audio art agreements and invoices.
  3. Coordinates with Accounts Payable, audio producers, audio art department and freelancers to set up vendors in the accounts payable system.
  4. Processes check requests and wire transfers.
  5. Troubleshoots invoice and vendor problems, including investigation and follow-up on late invoice payments and invoices or vendor forms that require corrections.
  6. Attends weekly status meeting with internal departments.
  7. Assists on special department projects as needed.

  • Knowledge of SAP and/or FileMaker Pro a plus
  • Interest in books and the publishing industry preferred
