Digital Marketing Manager, Penguin Teen (Hybrid)

Penguin Teen is looking for an experienced marketer to oversee our industry leading influencer program and to help us create amazing content for our social communities as a member of our Digital team.

This is a hybrid position with in-office responsibilities, we will consider candidates who can work from a commutable distance to our offices at 1745 Broadway, which includes the tri-state area (NJ, CT, & PA).

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manages Penguin Teen’s network of influencers, content creators, and book advocates:
    • Maintains our existing community while actively identifying new and emerging voices to expand our program.
    • Leads influencer communications for title and group campaigns including monthly new release newsletter, partner selection, activation briefs, content evaluation, and budget negotiation. 
    • Generates campaign recaps and analytics for author, editorial, and executive teams. 
    • Monitors title sentiment, emerging trends and evolutions within creator communities. 
    • Concepts and develops in-person influencer events, meet-ups and activations.  
    • Ensures timely delivery of advance reading materials (ARCs/eARCs), promotional pieces, and finished books to influencer partners.
    • Liaises with Legal and Finance departments on influencer best practices, contracts, and payments. 
  • Actively contributes to the ideation, planning, and creation of original content for Penguin Teen social channels including TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. 
  • Participates in seasonal brainstorming and develop digital marketing plans for Penguin Teen titles. 
  • Reads and provides early feedback on potential book acquisitions and forthcoming titles. 
  • Partners with marketing design team to develop digital/social assets for Penguin Teen and author use.  

 

Requirements: 

  • 2-3 years’ experience with influencer marketing campaigns and associated best practices 
  • Effective communicator, strong time management skills, detail oriented, highly organized 
  • Fluent knowledge of social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube 
  • A keen sense of digital and offline trends in the YA book space and larger pop culture landscape  
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Must love YA books! 

 


The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $73,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to company results.   

 

Penguin Random House job postings include a good faith compensation range for each open position. The salary range listed is specific to each particular open position and takes into account various factors including the specifics of the individual role, and candidate's relevant experience and qualifications.
