Campus Recruiter – NYC-based or Remote (East coast preferred)

We have an incredibly exciting and highly visible new opportunity available within our Human Resources/Talent Acquisition team for a Campus Recruiter who is ready to make a positive impact on our organization and their own career.     


Building relationships with schools and their students and alumni across the country, you’ll introduce people to terrific career opportunities in book publishing. Placing a special focus on schools with diverse enrollment, including but not limited to HBCUs and HACU member institutions, you’ll enable us to reach and cultivate relationships with students and alumni that continue to be underrepresented in the book publishing industry. 

What you’ll do…

  • Take an instrumental part in building the company’s campus recruitment strategy, identifying target schools and groups, building schedules and developing a budget to execute the strategy
  • Identify opportunities and develop relationships with campus career centers, clubs and alumni groups to promote PRH and our many career opportunities
  • Source and screen candidates for our Internship Program
  • Perform full cycle recruitment for full time, entry-level positions throughout the year while ensuring an inclusive and equitable process 
  • Manage and facilitate PRH’s attendance at career fairs and other on-campus and virtual recruiting events
  • Organize and host in-house and virtual career days for students and recent graduates
  • Coordinate with internal teams across the business to manage outreach efforts conducted by employees to their alma maters and divisional working groups
  • Report on recruiting and event metrics

What you’ll need to have...

  • Minimum 2 years’ work experience in at least one of these roles:
    • Recruiter (campus recruiting experience is highly preferred)
    • Closely related HR role
    • Career Development or similar role within higher education


  • These things will be helpful…
    • Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems and capability of assessing results/data
    • Good knowledge of HBCU and HACU institutions
    • Knowledge & understanding of DEI best practices in regards to attracting talent, engagement and equitable candidate evaluation and selection

This is an exempt role and hours may fluctuate based on travel and recruiting events

Domestic travel by car, train and/or plane required – up to 25%

Must have ability to lift up to 20 lbs of books and supplies
