We are seeking a Power BI Semantic Modeler and Developer to join our IT Business Intelligence team. This role will work in close collaboration with cross-functional departments including Finance, Sales, and Operations, to design, build, and optimize scalable data models and reporting solutions.
As part of PRH’s digital transformation efforts, you will play a critical role in advancing our data-driven decision-making capabilities, ensuring our stakeholders have accurate, well-modeled, and accessible insights through Power BI and Azure data services.

The Business Intelligence Developer will work closely with Power BI and the Azure platform. The developer will be responsible for the development & creation of Power BI reports & applications, as well as creating new & enhancing existing Azure Tabular models.
The Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the Power BI semantic layer (including tabular data models and data marts), as well as developing enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards and reports. The ideal candidate will have technical experience in Power BI, Azure Analysis Services, and SQL-based data engineering, along with the ability to translate complex data requirements into meaningful, performant, and maintainable BI solutions.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and optimize Power BI semantic models (tabular models and datasets) supporting enterprise reporting.
- Build new and enhance existing Power BI applications and reports for internal business units.
- Create and enhance Azure Analysis Services (AAS) and Azure SQL models used by Power BI.
- Develop and maintain views, stored procedures, and ETL logic to support efficient data retrieval.
- Partner with business stakeholders to refine data requirements and ensure alignment between reporting outputs and business needs.
- Ensure data model performance, scalability, and security within the Power BI and Azure ecosystems.
- Collaborate with IT peers to align BI solutions with enterprise architecture and data governance standards.
- Contribute to best practices documentation and the continuous improvement of BI development processes.
- Build new and enhance existing Power BI applications & reports
- Responsible for creating & enhancing Azure Analysis Services Tabular Models, used by Power BI
- Communicate with business stakeholders and refine product requirements
- Responsible for creating views and stored procedures to support applications

- A minimum of 2 years of experience with:
- Working with Microsoft Power BI (Desktop and PowerBI.com)
- Developing and managing data models or solutions within cloud-based platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Fabric
- A minimum of 1 year of experience with:
- Working with Microsoft SQL Server to build views, stored procedures, and complex queries
- Integrating Power BI with SSAS tabular cubes and Direct Queries to databases
- Understanding Tabular Cube development and model optimization techniques
- Working within an Agile development framework to deliver iterative BI solutions
- Creating content with Power BI Desktop and PowerBI.com (dashboards, reports, datasets, and workspaces).
- Designing and maintaining semantic models using Power BI and Azure Analysis Services.
- Implementing row-level security, DAX measures, and data modeling best practices.
- Developing interactive visualizations and data-driven stories in Power BI.

The salary range for this position is $100,000 and $115,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
