
The Dell marketing team is seeking an Associate Marketing Manager to lead and execute dynamic marketing campaigns across a wide list of romance titles, including contemporary romance, sports romance, romantasy and dark romance. This position reports to the Dell Romance marketing lead.
The ideal candidate is deeply engaged with the romance and romantasy reader community, excited by emerging trends in digital and social marketing, and eager to help connect readers with unforgettable books and authors. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where creativity and innovation are highly valued.
Dell is home to bestselling and breakout voices in the romance category, publishing books that inspire devoted fandoms and vibrant online conversation. Some of our authors include Sarah Adams, Hannah Bonam-Young, Joss Richard, Bailey Hannah, Stephanie Archer, Demi Winters, and more.
This position includes in-office responsibilities such as attending author and agent meetings, cross-functional strategy sessions, and team meetings. We will consider candidates who can work from a commutable distance to our offices at 1745 Broadway, including the tri-state area (NJ, CT, & PA).
Specific responsibilities include:

Lead, develop and execute marketing campaigns for 8-10 romance titles a season, from launch through publication and relevant backlist support

Identify target audiences and develop creative approaches to reach readers across social media, digital communities, retail channels, and emerging platforms

Contribute to social media strategy and influencer event programming

Maintain a strong awareness of trends within the romance and romantasy space, including BookTok, Bookstagram, Goodreads, Substack, and creator/influencer communities

Build strong working relationships with authors, agents, influencers, and internal stakeholders to support successful campaign execution

Analyze campaign performance and audience engagement metrics to optimize marketing strategy and identify growth opportunities

Minimum of 3-4 years of direct campaign management experience in digital or title marketing

Organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail

Strong communication skills, with confidence interacting across departments and with external partners

Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable approach to problem-solving and campaign management

Familiarity with Canva, TikTok, Instagram, and other digital marketing tools

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment

The Penguin Random House national headquarters is located in New York City. This is a hybrid position, requiring approximately two days per week at our 1745 Broadway location.
The salary for this position is $66,500. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
