Associate Manager/Manager, National Accounts (Open to remote)

Penguin Random House is looking for an Associate National Account Manager/National Account Manager to join the National Distributor team. This position will be responsible for selling and managing the business relationship with Ingram Content Group for our Random House Children’s and Client publisher’s titles.

 

Specific Responsibilities Include: 

 

  • Prepares, researches, and sells publisher titles to multiple buyers at Ingram.
  • Runs daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to manage account inventory and identify opportunities for sales growth.
  • Tracking and managing orders, estimates, and inventory.
  • Creates seasonal presentations for the collection development and internal sales team at Ingram.
  • Manages coop pool and contracts working closely with the Ingram marketing managers to meet deadlines and provide titles for various advertising.
  • Attends and participates in regular publisher and sales meetings including but not limited to imprint launch, strategy, sales conference, and hot title meetings.
  • Remains up to date on industry trends and promotions happening at other retail accounts to better service Ingram and their customers.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, direct selling is a plus; Minimum of 4 years of sales experience, including direct selling to be considered at the Manager level
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects while working within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and problem solve.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel domestically via train, plane, and or car up to 20% of the year.

 

The salary for the Associate position is $63,000 and the salary range for the Manager level is $70,000 - $73,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to company results.
