Associate Manager, Brand (Open to Remote)
Do you have a love of children’s books and pop culture, and also have an affinity for numbers and data? If so, this could be the perfect role for you! The Brand Management and Content Development team is currently seeking an Associate Brand Manager to assist in making recommendations to the publishing and sales teams as well as licensors to increase opportunities based on sales data and marketing trends. This group specifically works with the imprints/brands that are part of the Random House Children’s Books division.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Retrieves book sales information from multiple data systems and applications.
- Provides title and program performance data in comprehensive sales reports.
- Analyzes information to draw conclusions and make recommendations supported by data.
- Prepares and presents sales analysis and business reviews.
- Identifies publishing and general kids’ consumer trends for publishing opportunities.
- Works with Sales and Marketing teams to develop retailer-specific programs and promotions.
- Analyzes and presents results of licensed promotions to licensors and publishers.
- Reviews publishing plans and makes recommendations based on account/channel trends, prior titles’ performance, etc.
- Communicates with licensors, publishers, and sales department on a regular basis, exchanging key information on sales and market data.

- Facility with data systems and applications – must be able to learn new systems, and serve as in-house expert on data retrieval and analysis
- Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects at a time
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including in-person and online presentations
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with clients across all levels and functions
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with a particular emphasis on Excel
- Highly analytical including a facility with numbers and financials
- Interest in pop culture and trending stories is a plus
- Previous publishing experience is a plus
The salary for this position is $66,500.00. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to company results.
