The Random House Publishing Group is a division of Penguin Random House, the world’s largest trade book publisher, dedicated to publishing the best in fiction and nonfiction for readers of all ages and interests. We are seeking a proactive, highly organized Associate to join our Consumer Strategy & Media Operations team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Consumer Strategy & Media Operations, this role will support a wide range of marketing operations, including paid media coordination, creative workflows, project tracking, and cross-functional team support.

The Role:
Maintain title grids within internal project management systems, ensuring details are accurate, complete, and up to date.
Support the review, organization, and management of paid media requests, helping ensure information is clearly tracked and routed appropriately.
Assist with the tracking and redemption of added value placements from select advertising partners.
Support the design team in managing template-based creative projects using internal tools, including generating asset proofs, coordinating feedback from marketing teams, updating templates, and distributing final approved assets.
Contribute to projects across the Consumer Strategy & Media Operations team based on team needs and the candidate’s interests and skills. Potential areas may include supporting the divisional influencer program, assisting with email newsletter programs, and helping prepare templated social listening digests.
Provide support on special projects led by the SVP, Marketing Strategy & Engagement.
Qualifications
1–2 years of related work experience in marketing, advertising, media, publishing, or communications.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Excellent attention to detail and comfort learning new systems, tools, and processes.
Familiarity with Excel and comfort using spreadsheets to organize information, maintain trackers, and support basic reporting needs.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to be resourceful when navigating new tasks or workflows.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Interest in book publishing, marketing operations, advertising, and/or consumer engagement.
Additional Information
This is a hybrid position with in-office responsibilities (approximately 3 days a week). We will consider candidates who can work from a commutable distance to our offices at 1745 Broadway, which includes the tri-state area (NJ, CT, and NY).
