Job Description
Penguin Random House, is hiring an Administrator, Rights Management, for its Subsidiary Rights Accounting group to perform functions primarily related to the management and organization of subsidiary rights, permissions, receivable, and banking related records.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing the daily bank deposits and overseeing ingestion of same into rights management system
- Maintain daily income reconciliation document
- Serving as main contact between the department and our bank
- Researching and matching communications and statements from licensees to payments being made
- Responsible for the PRH RIGHTS ACCOUNTING MAILBOX
- Forwarding requests received for Invoicing of subsidiary rights advance and royalty payments to Administrator, Rights Accounting
- Management and organization of royalty statements
- Research source and purpose of unidentified monies received
- Work closely with Rights Accountants and Permission Administrators on all licensee and sub-agent communications
- Communicating with internal treasury group, and bank, licensees, sub-agents and other external partners
- Maintaining an up-to-date set of standard operating procedures for your tasks
- Flexibility to provide coverage for other tasks as needed
Qualifications
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to problem solve, manage time, and be resourceful
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and Adobe
- Experience in using SAP systems a plus
- An internship or general knowledge of the publishing industry is a plus; no prior publishing experience is required
Additional Information
The Penguin Random House national headquarters is located in New York City. This position is open to remote candidates who are based in the US and can work on Eastern Time.
The salary for this position is $60,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
