Corporate Bookmaking (Managing Editorial & Production Editorial)
These departments are responsible for copyediting, proofreading, pre-press and manufacturing processes of turning manuscripts into bound books after acquisition within the desired timeframe and budget. Interns will be working with adult fiction and nonfiction titles.
The intern will work with Production Editorial and Managing Editorial and some responsibilities include:
- Support the Managing Editorial team by tracking manuscript due dates, updating schedules, and routing materials for bound galleys and covers/jackets.
- Assist with foreign publishing file requests, including communicating with international partners, sending files, and processing invoice requests.
- Contribute to editorial and production tasks such as light proofreading, PDF review, CIP requests, documentation updates, and participating in team meetings.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM DETAILS
Penguin Random House offers an immersive 20-week PAID, REMOTE internship opportunity in the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027, available in our adult, children’s, and corporate divisions. Our interns are also exposed to the publishing process and our business through panels, networking events, and a mentoring program!
What you study does not matter! We are looking for your desire to work with books, your drive to learn and your curiosity for the publishing industry.

REQUIREMENTS & ELIGIBILITY
- Available 21 hours/week for both sessions
- Ready to work full-time by June 2027 (no degree required)
- U.S. resident during the program
- 18+ years old
Pay: $21/hour
