Junior Designer - (Hybrid)

Penguin Random House Audio, the leading publisher in the audiobook industry, is on the lookout for a creative and motivated Junior Designer to join our dynamic team!  

As a Junior Designer, you will have the exciting opportunity to design captivating covers and engaging bonus materials for our diverse range of audio products.    

 

In this role, you will not only work on specific titles but also provide invaluable creative and administrative support to our Senior Designer and Designer. This is a fantastic chance to learn from experienced professionals, hone your skills, and contribute to projects that reach a global audience.  

 

Specific responsibilities include:   

 

  • Design Audio covers for assigned titles  
  • Management of cover library, including tracking covers from print divisions and uploading final audio covers  
  • Creation of bonus materials including sourcing files, routing for approvals and uploading approved files to the digital archive in a timely manner  
  • File delivery for licensees   
  • Fulfill various image and asset requests for publicity, marketing, and editorial.

  • Intimate knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.  
  • Basic knowledge of printing, prepress file/art management, and production  
  • Ability to manage multiple deadline-driven projects simultaneously  
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail a must  
  • Can work independently and as part of a team   
  • Strong communication skills   
  • Interest in publishing  
  •  

This is a hybrid position with in-office responsibilities. We will consider candidates who can work from a commutable distance to our offices at 1745 Broadway, which includes the tri-state area (NJ, CT, & PA). 

 

The salary for this position is $56,000.00 All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
