Penguin Random House is the premier provider of distribution services in the publishing industry.  Our state-of-the-art national fulfillment center, located in Crawfordsville Indiana, is seeking quality workers ready and available to work an agreed upon work schedule.   It is only with a dedicated staff we are able to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations by picking, packing and shipping approximately 1.2 million books daily to customers around the world. 




We have immediate openings for Fork Lift Operators, skilled at operating a Highbay Order Picker on our 2nd Shift, Monday - Friday 3:00 pm - 10:00 pm, 35 hours weekly, $16.41/hour, overtime available. At this time, these positions are temporary in nature; however, an opportunity may present itself to transition into a Full-time (40 hrs weekly), benefit eligible position along with a salary adjustment to $18.36/hour. 




Fork Lift Operators are responsible for the movement of stock through the warehouse using various stand-up powered industrial equipment. 


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • handling full carton stock to fill customer orders or replenish inventory. 
  • moving full pallet inventory to and from specified areas


Essential abilities include:

  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to maintain good overall safety and attendance record
  • work well in a team-orientated environment
