Job Description
The Crawfordsville Distribution Center for Penguin Random House is currently seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our growing organization.
In this role, you will perform a combination of duties to construct, install, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and maintain plant equipment and facilities. Prior experience working in facility maintenance is essential.
The 2nd shift hours for this opportunity are Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:00pm. This shift also pays an additional 12.5% shift differential.
The 3rd shift hours for this opportunity are Sunday - Thursday 11:00pm - 7:00am. This shift also pays an additional 15% shift differential.
Qualifications
Proven skills relating to electrical construction with the ability to read schematics, mechanical trades, forklift/conveyor repair experience is a plus. Prior experience performing duties associated with Siemens or Allen Bradley Programmable Controllers or other relative PLC's is desirable. Additional experience with other crafts such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry and welding will contribute to a well-rounded candidate.
Candidates must have two or more years relevant experience, possess basic PC skills and be physically capable of performing heavy lifting. The availability of working overtime is essential.
