Associate Manager, Performance Marketing (Open to Remote)

PRH Consumer Marketing is seeking an Associate Manager to join the Performance Marketing team, part of the centralized Advertising team. The Performance Marketing team is responsible for supplying divisional marketing teams with ad campaign reporting and benchmarking, first-party audience segmentation and strategy, and actionable recommendations for optimizing campaign performance. This performance marketer will work closely with their Paid Media Strategy & Ad Operations counterparts to maximize the impact of title advertising efforts.  The Associate Manager, Performance Marketing, will serve as a strategic partner to both the Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group and John Grisham Publishing Group.  

This is a fantastic opportunity for a digital marketer or performance marketer to be a part of an innovative, strategic, supportive, and growth-oriented Advertising team at the heart of the largest trade book publisher in the US.  

 

Specific responsibilities include:      

  • Compiles weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports to inform future strategy and drive marketing effectiveness.   
  • Collaborates with title marketers in the Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group, John Grisham Publishing Group, and the Paid Media Strategy & Ad Operations teams, providing them with recommendations for budget re-allocation and channel optimization at the campaign, audience, and creative levels.       
  • Leverages PRH’s suite of marketing tools to measure the effectiveness of cross- channel ad campaigns.   
  • Establishes and maintains benchmarks for key performance indicators across the marketing funnel from CPM to ROAS.   
  • Leads first-party audience targeting efforts for Knopf and John Grisham ad campaigns, including creation and distribution, while adhering to consumer data privacy and security regulations.      
  • Formulates and presents best practices, case studies, and advertising recommendations to marketing stakeholders, based on publishing priorities and marketing strategy.   
  • Collaborates, learns, and grows with other members of the primarily remote Performance Marketing team, who do similar work for PRH’s other publishing divisions.   

 

Please apply if you meet the following qualifications:   

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in performance marketing or digital advertising (Amazon, Facebook, Google, TikTok, etc.), with experience in paid media analysis    
  • Ability to analyze and translate marketing data into actionable performance reports for marketing stakeholders     
  • Well versed in the language of digital marketing metrics and performance measurement (CTR, CPM, ROAS, etc.)      
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, etc.) and Microsoft PowerPoint   
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and virtual communication and presentation skills     
  • Ability to work independently and manage own projects in a fast-paced environment, as well as collaborate with and support efforts of a team   
  • Quick learner of new technologies and tools        
  • An eye for trends: both spotting them in data and identifying them in the advertising landscape      
  • Experience with the following tools and platforms a plus: Adobe Analytics, PowerBI, Tealium Tag Manager  
  • Interest in nonfiction, fiction, and cooking a plus!   

 

The salary for this position is $66,500.00. All positions are currently eligible for an annual profit award or bonus, subject to company results.
