Are you an experienced Test Manager looking for a new opportunity? Are you excited to work in a complex Purchase to Pay programme using cloud based technology. 

 

You will be leading the Testing activities across many complex test cycles the within the programme scope, with the expectation to use a wide range of skills across all levels of testing lifecycle. The programme has adopted an agile approach and as such the testing cycles will need to be integrated into the individual sprints and sometimes run in parallel with the Design, Build and Configuration activities. 

 

Are you a seasoned Test Manager who has experience of leading and driving the testing strategy across the project, has experience with agile, cloud based technology and exposure to purchase to pay processes.

 

Your Key Responsibilities & Duties required for this role:
Service Delivery

  • The Test Manager needs to define the testing strategy and approach for PRH for all types of technical change. The testing strategy must cover:

o    Unit testing
o    Functional testing
o    Systems Integration testing
o    User acceptance testing
o    Penetration testing
o    Performance testing

 

Strategic Planning

  • The strategy needs to define:

o    when each type of testing is required dependent upon type of technical change
o    who is responsible for performing the testing
o    third parties we may use to support testing
o    tools used to define, perform and record testing execution
o    success criteria for testing
o    testing alignment to PRH stage gate process

 

Stakeholder liaison

  • The post holder also needs to work with multiple stakeholders across technology and the business to ensure testing has the appropriate support to execute efficiently. Key stakeholders that the Test Manager must liaise with include but not limited to:
  •  Project/Programme Manager - 

o    the timing of when resources are required and how many
o    confirm availability of  resources to perform the testing
o    entry / exit criteria of the testing phases

  • Technology/Business Sponsor - 

o    to ensure testing success criteria is agreed 
o    walkthrough testing results to support making an informed Go/No Go decision

  • Third party suppliers -

o    ensure they follow PRH templates and stage gate process
o    provide performance feedback and improve where required
o    improvements required in third party tools

 

General:

  • Document, implement, monitor, and enforce all processes for testing for the P2P project
  • Keep track of the new requirements / change in requirements of the Project
  • Escalate testing issues to project manager and Technology sponso
  • Facilitate status meetings with summary of testing progress
  • Act as the single point of contact between Development and Testers
  • Ensure the timely delivery of different testing milestones

 

You will also need: 

  • Extensive experience as a Testing Manger 
  • Proven track record of large and small technical change testing delivery
  • Relevant experience of managing a testing workstream in a complex technology project (using both on premise and cloud based software)
  • Strong working knowledge and experience of testing tools and automation
  • Extensive experience in testing tracking tools such as JIRA 
  • Extensive experience in performance management tools such as loadrunner
  • Extensive experience in running testing cycles in an agile environment 
  • Extensive experience in coordinating testing cycles with external technical partners and the business

 

Nice to have skills: 

  • Experience in Microfocus (Silk) testing tool 
  • Experience of small change request technical testing

Salary: Circa £55k dependent on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus bonus and benefits
