We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing professional to join our hugely talented and pioneering team at Penguin Random House Children’s on a temporary FTC basis until 31st  January 2019.


Penguin Children’s is the UK’s no.1 children’s publisher and home to the most recognised children’s entertainment brands and authors, and we’re in the enviable and unique position of having three consumer-facing brands: Ladybird, Puffin and Penguin. Our primary portfolio includes an outstanding list of authors such as Jacqueline Wilson, Terry Pratchett, Roald Dahl, Tom Fletcher, Clare Balding and Robin Stevens, as well as amazing brands like Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Doctor Who, plus exciting debuts such as Nick Mohammed.


As Senior Digital Marketing Executive, you will be passionate about storytelling, the value of reading and bringing these iconic brands to life through dynamic multichannel marketing campaigns, partnerships and communications. You’ll use your creative expertise to reach our key audiences of parents, creating word of mouth advocacy for Puffin, Ladybird and our authors.


You will be responsible for planning and executing creative content, campaigns  and promotions across all channels, including Facebook, Instagram and branded newsletters, building audiences and working closely with the Audience Development and Children’s marketing team as well as brand representatives in PRH Children’s.


Measuring, tracking and reporting on campaign and channel activity, you’ll keep abreast of digital marketing ideas, developments and competitive activity to identify opportunities for creative and engaging activity that connects our audiences online.


You will be a confident communicator, enthusiastic about presenting your ideas and representing the team both internally and externally. You will be adept at managing multiple projects and deadlines and prioritising your time effectively in a busy environment.


Previous book publishing experience is not essential, however you should have a strong background in digital marketing, experience of working across multiple platforms including social media, as well as  representing well-known consumer brands.
