Sales Manager

As Sales Manager for Australia & New Zealand, your role will be to manage and deliver ambitious budget targets for the Vintage, Ebury, Transworld and Cornerstone lists in one of our biggest territories.


You will be the lead for International within one of the commercial divisions, responsible for bringing an international facing perspective to the business from acquisitions through to jacket meetings as well as owning and driving the international budget for the division.


On a day-to-day basis you’ll be:


  • Working closely with the local team on the ground to maximise sales of the Random House list
  • Working closely with the Sales Director to develop and implement strategic objectives for the market
  • Setting title targets for the market during the yearly budget trip
  • Regularly analysing data and reporting back to the business on market performance to inform the acquisition process, budget numbers and print decisions
  • Working alongside International Sales Operations as well as IM and Production on printing and stock management
  • Planning and supervising the workload of the Key Account Executive and developing them in line with their abilities


To do this, you will be a confident team player with the emotional intelligence to influence where needed. You will have rigorous attention to detail and outstanding commercial acumen together with a proactive approach to sales. You’ll be curious about new opportunities as well as able to see the bigger picture. You’ll also be enthusiastic about our books and able to generate the same enthusiasm in others.
