Where could you take the sales of leading author brands like Harlan Coben, Kathy Reichs, Tony Parsons, Robert Harris and E.L. James next and how could you help build the sales of new writers too?

Following a promotion internally, we have a new opportunity for someone to join the sales team as Cornerstone Sales Manager.

In this role, reporting to the Cornerstone Sales Director, you will be working closely with retail accounts as well as influencing and guiding publishing acquisitions from a sales perspective.

Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with colleagues in editorial, marketing, publicity and sales operations and you will work with the senior management team to develop and grow sales for the division.

You’ll play a key role in the division’s overall publishing and growth strategy as well as contributing to key author meetings, feeding in sales expertise and market data on a regular basis.

Leadership of the key accounts team will also form a crucial part of your role. You’ll create an environment where your team members are supported and inspired to do their best work. Working with the Digital Key Account Manager will also mean that you will have a good working knowledge of the digital sales market and its key retailers.

You’ll have a strong sales background in either a publishing or media environment, with experience managing key accounts with large UK retailers. You’ll be commercially-focused in all that you do, curious about new opportunities and developments in the marketplace – and how we make those happen.

You’ll be great at connecting with people, whether that’s customers, your colleagues or your team. You’ll build strong relationships, and people will listen to your view, even when there’s a difference of opinion.

Finally, you’ll have a head for numbers and be analytically minded, showing that you can use data and insight from the market to influence sound business decisions.

If this sounds like your next step, please apply with a CV and covering letter by Monday 16th January.
