If so, we want to hear from you. We’re looking for a Recruitment Partner to find, inspire and hire talent to Penguin Random House.


You don’t need to have stepped foot in a publisher’s before to work with us, we’re interested in bringing in new perspectives and challenging our thinking and ways of doing things. 


 The role 


One of our core goals for our inclusion strategy is to achieve representation in all teams at all levels. Which means that who and how we hire is fundamental to ensuring our workforce is representative of society. 


You’ll join, and collaborate with, a Recruitment team of nine, who are committed to achieving this goal, along with their colleagues in the HR Generalist and Talent Development teams, who’ll you work closely with.


You can look forward to a fast-moving and varied day, with the chance to build strong and impactful relationships with hiring managers: you’ll use your recruiting expertise to guide, support and challenge so that we recruit the best talent inclusively.

Responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process, you’ll hire talent for a wide-range of roles across our group operations teams: from sales to finance to distribution.


There’s a lot to get stuck in to with this role, from leading detailed job briefings with managers, to writing compelling ad copy, to shortlisting and arranging interviews, to negotiating offers and providing feedback to candidates. Alongside the day to day work, there’s also opportunity to contribute to wider recruitment programmes and initiatives across the company.


You’ll know how to create the best possible candidate experience too, utilising your networks to help bring on board the talent we need.


Success in the role will be dependent on your ability to recruit smartly, inclusively and with care, along with your ability to build rapport and inspire trust in your expertise so that you connect and collaborate with colleagues and hiring managers across the organisation. 



What you’ll bring: 


  • A track record in recruiting talent for different roles, from a wide range of backgrounds

  • Knowledge and experience of inclusive hiring practices

  • Experience of owning the end-to-end recruitment process, from job briefing through to offer negotiations

  • Demonstrable ability to connect with others and inspire trust and confidence through what you say, do and write

  • Ability to work at pace, managing a high volume of work, whilst paying attention to the detail

  • Efficiency and organisation when balancing different roles and timelines

  • Care for, and management of, candidate experience

Salary: £29,320 - £43,980 pa depending on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus bonus and benefits.


We are currently working remotely but expect this role to transition to our Vauxhall Bridge Road and Embassy Garden offices in London.


We will be starting a trial of hybrid working across our company and we’re happy to discuss flexible working options at interview stage.
