Project Editor (Penguin Readers), Penguin Random House Children's

Are you looking for a new challenge within ELT publishing, in a creative and supportive environment?

We are looking for a Project Editor with a track record of managing multi-component ELT projects. You’ll be growing our secondary ELT Graded Readers series, working with exciting content from the biggest authors and brands at Penguin Random House.

You’ll ideally have an understanding of ELT Readers publishing, and certainly a passion for making stories accessible to language learners around the world. The role will focus on managing titles from manuscript through to publication, briefing and working alongside a pool of freelance authors and editors. You’ll need to be confident creating and manipulating complex schedules, and comfortable managing a budget.

Good communication with editorial, design and production colleagues is essential to this role. As such, you must be open-minded and flexible, a clear communicator and able to work as part of a dynamic team whilst managing time effectively and handling competing priorities.

What you’ll get in return is the chance to be part of a team developing a priority growth area for Penguin Random House, the opportunity to develop your content editing skills, and the responsibility of project managing a flagship series through to publication.

Please apply with a CV and Cover Letter stating why you feel you would be suited for this role by midnight on Tuesday 24th September 2019.

Please note, we are not able to accept agency CV's for this role. Any CV's sent speculatively will not be eligible for a fee.
