Production Compliance Controller

Our Group Publishing Operations team are in search of an established Production Compliance Controller.


The Production Compliance Controller will work alongside and in support of the production department in the key areas of supplier pricing analysis, for tenders and spend tracking, and supplier compliance. 


The successful candidate will be expected, in conjunction with production senior management, to progress various initiatives and projects across the production supply chain.

Some of the key responsibilities include:


  • Compiling documents and analysis of submissions in relation to tender analysis
  • Maintaining pricing within Penguin Random House Biblio as appropriate
  • Maintaining shipping calculator accordingly to contractual quarterly fluctuations
  • Maintaining and communicating the monthly supplier spend report
  • Conduct supplier evaluation and compliance, both new and existing, as appropriate
  • FSC audit management, making sure reporting is accurate and querying anomalies with Production
  • Completing annual fibre testing
  • Be the key liaison with external 3rd parties
  • Ensure supplier compliance relating to global code of conduct, ethical supply chain, modern slavery report and other miscellaneous and corporate reporting requirements relating to the supply chain


To be successful within this position, we’re looking for the candidate to be knowledgeable of production, supply chain processes and/or procurement, preferably within Publishing, and be proficient in Excel. 


Knowledge of environmental issues in relation to publishing and production would be an advantage, although not essential.
