Product Manager, Audiences and Audio

We have a new opportunity for someone to join the Digital Development team as Product Manager working on Children’s digital products.

As Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for balancing needs of both the consumer and the business to prioritise products with a focus on our authors and their audiences.

Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for the strategy, roadmap and feature definition of each product in the portfolio. This will include web and app development of Children’s digital products, support and maintenance of author products in the portfolio, design sprints as well as project and budget management.

You’ll use your communication skills to be clear around purpose and translate ideas into practical next steps. Working closely with your colleagues in Digital Development and Audiences & Audio, you’ll gather consensus in order to deliver product development and enhancements, and will be responsible for deciding on the right portfolio mix to deliver commercial value to the business.

If this sounds like it could be right up your street, here’s what you’ll need to make the role a success...

You’ll be able to share your experience of Product Management in a digital agency environment, with experience of product P&L responsibility. You’ll be used to working with and driving forward Agile methodology, with a good working knowledge of Jira and MVP.

This is a role that will directly impact the service we’re delivering to our consumers of children’s products including games and video content. Being able to communicate to the team and wider business on how we might bring children to our consumer site and provide support on defining and bringing to life the Children’s area on our website, whilst being knowledgeable of the restrictions that GDPR poses on digital products for Children, is key for this role.

Working collaboratively with colleagues in the business, and using your communication skills to connect with people will be crucial.

Your ambition to raise the bar on quality, and your energy will inspire others about great quality product development, maintenance and innovation.

Finally, you’ll have a passion for our overall purpose which is to connect audiences to the new ideas and stories that matter.
