As customers continue to buy more online, it is essential that our books have the strongest presence on retail platforms. As online Key Account Manager for our children’s division, you will be responsible for growing physical, digital and audio sales of our children’s titles through online platforms. As Online Key Account Manager you will be the primary online ambassador for your publishing house, leading from the front to encourage best practice and an online first mentality. 


You will drive and optimise sales revenue for Children’s titles with existing retailers, delivering strong merchandising placement, promotions and overall visibility on retailer platforms. This is achieved through focused strategic partnerships with key retailers, as well as proactive relationships with multiple PRH departments and key stakeholders. You will build strategies to maximise revenue across both formats, through a calendar of activities, price promotions, marketing plans and merchandising placements.
 
Working closely with the Children’s UK Sales Director, you will ensure that your titles have optimal positioning on site and are in-stock at all times, removing any potential frictions to purchase.  You will work collaboratively to manage promotional spend and continually learn and adapt strategies to maximise profitable sales.
 
Some of your responsibilities will include:
 
•    Developing collaborative and close relationships with key online retailers through regular and proactive contact.
•    Provide active new title sell-in, marketing, highlights, and ad-hoc title updates (frontlist and backlist) to aid title curation and optimal positioning on site.
•    Work closely with each retailer to drive sales with joined up pricing and marketing activity
•    Position and negotiate for title inclusion in key retailer promotions such as daily deals, seasonal promotions, editor’s picks, landing pages, home page banner ads, themed promotions, price promotions, bespoke promotions, and cross media title tie-ins.
•    Provide key retailers with sales, market and consumer insight analysis on key titles.
•    Provide proactive seasonal and promotional curation, forecasting, execution and analysis, including bespoke retailer strategy and promotional plans.
•    Provide marketing assets (from tagging through to added value content) and facilitating relationships between marketing departments and retailers.
 

To succeed in this role, you’ll be entrepreneurial, and data driven in your approach. You will be customer-oriented with strong negotiation and influencing skills. We’d like you to have a proactive and curious approach and always thinking creatively about product and marketing opportunities.
