Can you help us find the right words?

Support the Vintage team in connecting some of the most thought-provoking, unforgettable, beautifully designed books – from contemporary trailblazers to our red spine Vintage Classics – with online customers across a range of audiences. Vintage is part of Penguin Random House, the world’s leading trade publisher.

Vintage Books is looking for a Metadata and Marketing Insight Assistant to play a key role in ensuring our titles are fully optimised to drive online discoverability and sales and in providing audience insight and analysis to inform business decisions.

This is an exciting, brand-new opportunity for someone looking to start a career in publishing. You’ll work closely with marketing and editorial teams, using data and insight to understand and implement the search terms people use to find books online and the words that will persuade them to click and buy.

Day-to-day, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, from running reports relevant to Vintage’s publishing, in particular relating to the Amazon platform, to making metadata (such as keywords) and copy recommendations and making changes to book records. You’ll also use audience insight and social listening platforms to inform marketing campaigns.

You’ll be a confident copywriter with forensic attention to detail, a head for numbers and the ability to spot a trend. You’ll be methodical as well as curious, a keen reader and excited about data-driven solutions. A team player who can also be resourceful and independent-minded, you’ll be able to prioritise and multi-task. In the role, you’ll keep up to speed on best practice SEO.

The role reports to the Senior Data and Marketing Insight Manager. Whilst we are currently working remotely, we expect this role to transition to our Embassy Gardens office in Vauxhall, London.

If this sounds like you, please apply with a CV and cover letter, telling us about what makes you engage with a book on the Amazon platform and why.

All interviews will be conducted virtually and the deadline for applications is Sunday 1st August 2021.
