Do you spend more time with your headphones on than off?

If so, we could have the perfect job for you.

This is an exciting time to join a fast-paced team that is setting a precedent for innovative and ground-breaking work within the Audio market.

At Penguin Random House Audio, the UK’s leading audiobook publisher, we are dedicated to making the best audiobooks in the market. We publish standout audiobooks, from Barack Obama’s astounding memoirs, to Avni Doshni’s Booker-shortlisted Burnt Sugar and Stephen Fry’s Troy.

We have recently opened Penguin Studios, our brand new state-of-the-art recording space. In order to help ensure that we’re the place everybody wants to record, we are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Producer to join our growing team.

Working closely with our editorial and production teams, you’ll be directing and engineering bestselling books from across our eight publishing houses, always ensuring each text is thoroughly prepped ahead of every recording. This means often liaising with authors throughout the process, and briefing sound designers and editors on post-production.

You will be confident and creative with a keen ear for detail. Able to build a rapport with every reader, you will have a warm and calming presence that means you’ll be able get the best out of them in all productions you take on.

To excel in this role, prior experience as an audiobook producer isn’t a must - but a love of books, and a genuine passion for audiobooks is essential. Any experience of editing speech is also a plus, but not imperative.

If you love audio and are excited by the prospect of establishing a new role within this fast-growing and high profile area of the business, we’d love to hear from you.

Please apply with your CV and cover letter by Sunday 24th January 2021.

Salary: You‘ll start on £24,000. Expect a £1,000 increase on your first anniversary in this role and a further £1,000 on your second to reflect your growing contribution.
