We are seeking a creative, experienced and enthusiastic senior PR professional to join us as Head of Publicity and head up the campaigns for our Doubleday list. We’re looking for someone who can get our books to the widest possible audience and will enjoy creating show-stopping campaigns that generate media coverage.
 
In this role, you will lead publicity campaigns on some of the list’s key titles and oversee activity across the imprint as a whole, looking after a range of authors across both fiction and non-fiction.  Your role will be to plan and implement innovative and effective campaigns across all media platforms with digital at the heart of everything you do.  You will line manage a member of the publicity team and be involved in developing and mentoring other team members. 
 
Your Profile
 

We are looking for an experienced publicist who is full of ideas and loves the buzz when publicity drives sales.  You’ll relish a challenge and will be able to respond to the demands of a busy press office calmly and proactively. You’ll be able to maintain and develop relationships with media contacts, and will have strong communication skills and gravitas to manage high profile author and agent relationships. You’ll also have a proven ability to engage with online communities as well as on- and off-line networks and influencers and react quickly to news stories.

 

A strong team player and a proven project manager, you will be able to motivate people and bring them together.  You will also understand how to devise strategy, brand campaigns and high-scale publicity events.

 

The role will be based in our office at Embassy Gardens in Nine Elms. We are currently trialling hybrid working and the balance of office and remote working can be discussed during the recruitment process.

Salary: £46,000 - £53,000 depending on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus bonus and benefits.
