Compensation and Benefits Manager (Maternity Cover)

Date: 10-Jul-2018

Location: London, LND, GB, WC2R 0RL

Year: 2018

Company: The Random House Group Limited

Requisition ID: 21938

Do you have a head for figures and an instinct for what matters to people?

You go to work, you get paid. It seems a straightforward exchange. But, if you know all about pay and benefits, you’ll know there’s a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes. It’s not just about paying people their pay and bonus accurately and on time. It’s also about delivering benefits that really hit the mark with employees.

We’re looking for a Compensation and Benefits Manager who can deliver all the basics and drive forward projects, at the same time as keeping things human and simple.

Day to day, you’ll need to know your around Excel - PivotTables and VLOOKUPs are second nature to you. You’ll know how to use data insights to recommend improvements that make a difference to our employees’ lives.  And, as well as working on your own initiative, you’ll need to work well across other teams – like Finance and Communications – so our calculations are correct, and our communications are compelling.

There’ll also be some bigger projects and areas of work to get stuck into…

  • You’ll lead and manage our annual salary review process end to end, from preparing for negotiations with Union Representatives to confirming new salaries for over 2,000 employees

  • You’ll be responsible for the brokering, annual market reviews and renewal of our flexible benefits programme, as well as driving engagement with clever communications

  • You’ll manage the company bonus and group profit share schemes, working closely with our Finance Teams to prepare and communicate these awards out to all our eligible employees

  • You’ll own our company approach to benchmarking and job evaluation ensuring that PRH remains competitive and transparent in its approach to pay.

So if you know compensation and benefits; if you love a balance between working collaboratively and having autonomy; and if you get a kick out of problem solving this role could be perfect.

Sound like you? We’d love to hear from you.
