The International Sales team are hiring a Business Development Executive to support the growth of custom product sales across various territories.

 

As International Business Development Executive you’ll play an integral part in the Custom Product team. Your role will be very varied, and with the support of the Custom Product Manager, you will become embedded in the wider international sales team as a crucial point of contact, working closely with key Area Sales Managers and our wider publishing colleagues to help to drive Custom Product Sales in your markets.  You will also work closely with our Education team to deliver bespoke titles to our key territories.

 

It’s an exciting time to be joining the Business Development team; we’re passionate about new ways to reach consumers, which means experimenting with different technologies and new products.

 

On a day to day you will be working on a variety of different projects across your markets, working closely with the Sales teams to delivery these orders within budget and in a timely manner. You will need to be able to clearly outline a custom project brief, process orders, run reports and analyse sales to be able to identify trends and growth within your markets.

 

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone with strong personal organisation and time management skills, with the ability to work autonomously and use initiative. You will often communicate with a variety of stakeholders, so strong communication and negotiation skills are necessary. As you develop relationships across key markets you will regularly share product information with our wider sales team, so evidence of analytical ability and a level of financial awareness is important.

 

We are a supportive team so you do not need to have existing publishing experience, though a genuine interest in publishing and custom sales is important. As you grow within the role and team, you will build excellent knowledge of your specific markets and focus trends to build on your existing commercial instincts. As part of the Custom Product team you will get to work on creating brand new products featuring some of our most popular Children’s brands, so you’ll be able to share your creative ideas.

 

When you join the team, you will primarily be working remotely, eventually moving to work in our Vauxhall Bridge Road office with some travel to Embassy Gardens.

 

We’re currently working remotely and expect to be able to return to our office from late June. At this point, we will also be starting a trial of hybrid working across our company and we’re happy to discuss flexible working options at interview stage.
