Business Change Analyst, Technology (FTC until June 2020)

Penguin Random House UK is recruiting for an experienced Business Change Analyst. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dedicated business change team with the chance to experience and influence the creation of one way of working across the biggest publisher in the UK. You’ll be responsible for developing and delivering business change plans, and assessing impact of the programme on the business.

 

You’ll work closely with the business change managers in developing, delivering, recording and assessing stakeholder engagement plans and communicating these with other stakeholders across the business.

 

You’ll also carry out business impact assessments, maintaining the log and producing

business impact assessment reports, while assisting the business change managers in the provision of transition support.

 

So if you’ve got previous experience of working on change programmes and devising creative change interventions we want to hear from you. You’ll also need excellent communication practices and strong communication and relationship management skills.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out business impact assessments, maintaining business impact assessment log, producing business impact assessment reports
  • Producing and maintaining change mitigation plans
  • Liaising effectively with business leads to agree and implement change mitigations
  • Assessing effectiveness of change mitigation activities
  • Working closely with the business change managers  in developing, delivering, recording and assessing stakeholder engagement plans
  • Developing communication plans, producing communication materials, communicating with stakeholders
  • Assisting the business change managers and project managers in providing transition support
  • Assessing risks associated with proposed changes to minimise impact on the provision of other services
  • Assessing the readiness for change of the business and advising on activities to embed the change within the business

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience of  working on change programmes
  • Experience of undertaking business change impact assessments and devising relevant change interventions
  • Excellent understanding of business change communication practices and has designed and developed materials and delivered in line with planned dates
  • Understanding of business change management tools and techniques
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, able to analyse and make judgement calls on competing requirements
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills - ability to communicate with people, both verbally and in writing, to senior management level
  • Experience of working sensitively and proactively with employees experiencing change
  • Competent Excel use for quantitative analysis, for example using pivot tables, COUNTIF, VLOOKUP, graphs
  • Confident and self-motivated, your excellent interpersonal and communication skills mean you will be able to liaise effectively with all levels of management and other businesses and able to build and maintain strong relationships with a large number of stakeholders, customers, leaders as well as team members
  • You will have the ability to generate creative solutions to problems
  • Appreciation of project management and business change management methodology and associated tools and techniques
