We’re looking for a Business Change and Communication Analyst to work as part of the business change team for Our Programme on a contract to the end of June 2020.

 

Our Programme is a transformation project, making a series of critical changes to the distribution operation and systems we use to publish Penguin Random House books. You’ll undertake business change impact assessments and define and deliver business change plans, with specific responsibility for the creation and delivery of communication products. We're looking for a Business Change and Communication Analyst to work as part of the Our Programme business change team to support with delivering business change impact assessments and business change plans, with specific responsibility for the creation and delivery of communication products. You will be based at our 80 Strand office.

 

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Carrying out business change impact assessments, maintaining business impact assessment log
  • Producing and maintaining change mitigation plans, assessing effectiveness of change mitigation activities
  • Working closely with business change managers in developing, delivering, recording and assessing stakeholder engagement
  • Delivering and updating communication plans
  • Creating a range of communications collateral, e.g. presentations, newsletters, briefing notes and intranet pages, for multiple audiences. Tracking feedback and ensuring appropriate sign-off
  • Assisting in planning and delivering Our Programme events
  • Assisting the business change managers in the provision of transition support
  • Assessing risks associated with proposed changes to minimise impact on the provision of other services
  • Supporting with assessing the readiness for change of the business and advising on activities to embed the change within the business

 

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience working and successfully delivering in a business change role
  • Experience of undertaking business change impact assessments and devising relevant change interventions
  • Understanding of business change management methodologies, tools and techniques
  • Excellent understanding of  business change communication practices
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver communication collateral in line with planned dates
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, able to work proactively with minimal supervision and at pace, making judgement calls on competing requirements
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills - ability to communicate with people, both verbally and in writing, to senior management level
  • Experience of working sensitively and proactively with employees experiencing change
  • Confident and self-motivated, your excellent interpersonal and communication skills mean you will be able to liaise effectively with all levels of management  building strong relationships with a large number of stakeholders, customers, leaders as well as team members
  • A desire to learn and develop and gain further experience in a complex programme environment and business change management and communication role

 

We’re looking for someone confident and who can work proactively with minimal supervision. You’ll be comfortable communicating effectively and sensitively with not only management but also large audiences across the business who are experiencing change, whether that’s by email, notices or in person.
