Rights Coordinator (12m FTC, Part-time)

Do you have a strong administrative background and excellent numerical skills?

Our Royalties team here at Penguin Random House UK are looking for a Rights Coordinator to join them on a 12-month fixed term contract to cover a period of parental leave.  This will be based at our Distribution site in Frating, Colchester. This role is offered on a part-time basis, covering 4 hours a day, 5 days per week (20 hours in total).

Positioned within the Rights Credit Control and Contracts team, you’ll have responsibility for ensuring that the sub-right contracts are set up accurately on our internal systems (training will be provided for this), raising and approving invoices and liaising across departments to settle queries and chase for information.  Alongside this, you’ll be scanning and processing documentation, recording data onto spreadsheets, and dealing with incoming cheques and third party correspondence.

You’ll be doing a job that will have a real impact on the service we deliver to our authors, and you’ll need excellent attention to detail and a consistently high standard of accuracy in your work to achieve this. You’ll also have a proactive approach to problem solving and will be able to build strong working relationships across the business and externally too, particularly during the time we are working remotely.

Ideally, you’ll have experience in royalty processing or another high-volume transaction business area where accuracy is essential, but we’re happy to look at experience from elsewhere too. What’s important to us is that you’ve got a solid grounding in administrative work and that you’re able to confidently use Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. If you’re hard-working, eager to learn and a confident communicator, this is the role for you.

Please apply with your CV and Cover Letter by midnight on Sunday 24th October.  Interviews will commence virtually during the first week of November.

This role will be based at our office in Frating, Colchester however we are currently piloting a hybrid working programme where flexible working is available, and this can be discussed more during an interview.
