Our Royalties team here at Penguin Random House UK are looking for a Rights Administrator to join them on a 12-month fixed term contract on 21 hours a week, covering a period of parental leave. This role is based at our Distribution site in Frating, Colchester.

 

Positioned within the Rights processing team, you’ll have responsibility for ensuring that the financial side of our rights contracts are delivered into the royalty system correctly and accurately. You’ll also ensure that licensee financial statements and payments are updated so that outstanding payments can be chased accordingly.

 

Alongside this, you’ll process daily cash receipts, liaise with payees and internal departments to collect and allocate monies due/received and update systems with foreign title information and publication dates.

 

You’ll be doing a job that will have a real impact on the service we deliver to our authors, and you’ll need excellent attention to detail and a consistently high standard of accuracy in your work to achieve this. You’ll also have a proactive approach to problem solving and will be able to build strong working relationships across the business and externally too, particularly during the time we are working remotely.

 

Perhaps you’ve worked in banking or retail, dealing with high-volume cash transitions. Do you know your way around invoicing, reconciliation of accounts and are a whizz with Excel? This could be the next role for you.  The team here at Penguin Random House are looking for someone with great time management and can follow intricate processes, for which training will be provided.

Salary: c.£21,000 (pro-rated) depending on how your skills and experience align with the role, plus bonus and benefits.

 

This role will be based at our Frating office in Colchester. The team currently go into the office once a week and work remotely otherwise. Specific arrangements can be discussed at interview.
