We have a brand new opportunity for a Middleware Specialist to join our Technology team based in Frating.

Reporting to the Data and Environments Manager, you’ll work within the Data Management Team and be tasked with managing the development and deployment of middleware architecture, while providing on-going support for these systems.

As Middleware Specialist, you’ll work with Infrastructure Architects to provide a reliable, scalable ESB architecture, as well as develop a long-term roadmap for middleware in conjunction with the data owners, data management lead and architecture group. It goes without saying that you’ll also keep up to date with technological advances within the ESB and other associated areas.

You’ll also ensure Middleware DR & Backup Plans are documented, maintain change control and testing processes, and produce technical support guides.

You’ll also be involved with a range of development tasks - from developing new components and interfaces within the ESB and providing training for other team members on the ESB – to supporting Project Managers and Solution Architects during the development lifecycle of a project, working with stakeholders to ensure UAT and regression testing is complete, and working with third party suppliers to develop ESB solutions.

You’ll have a proven track record of developing and administering enterprise level middleware environments, in addition to strong administration and Biztalk troubleshooting experience. This role will involve occasional travel to our London sites, so a can-do attitude, flexibility, and abilitiy to adapt to different environments quickly is a must.

Connecting and working with others will come naturally to you, as you’ll be working with multiple project teams to plan and coordinate ESB activities.

With a drive to be continuously improving and an analytical approach – you’ll be willing to learn other technologies and cover for other members of the team – as well as collaborate with others to solve problems logically and quickly. You’ll also be experienced working on multiple large and complex projects.

Essential technical skills and knowledge include: BizTalk 2010/2013, Application architecture, NET, C#, XML and SQL Server, ESB and SOA design and principles, technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting BizTalk, and experience of designing\maintaining\rehearsing BizTalk disaster and backup recovery plans.

Experience with the following are also a plus: Agile and Waterfall development methodologies, MS SQL Server Services Windows server platforms, SOP, ERP, CRM etc and/or web Content Management Systems, source control management experience.

Does this sound like your ideal role? If so, please apply with a CV and cover letter no later than Wednesday 3rd May.
