Operational Security Manager

Can you run our Security Operations Team, and take a proactive approach to Information Security?

You’ll be handling both the reactive elements of operational security (Incident Response) as well as the proactive (Patching, Vulnerability Assessment) and Governance (technical change review, firewall policy review) elements of the department. You’ll also feed into the Information Security roadmap for the organisation.

Reporting into the Head of Infrastructure, you’ll manage a team of security analysts, end point protection specialists and virtual members from Infrastructure teams to provide support and ownership of the technical security protection systems in place at Penguin Random House. We're open to this role being based in Frating with travel to London, or based in London with travel to Frating.

This is an Operational role, but you’ll work closely and collaboratively with the Information Security Architect and the Head of Information Security.

You’ll need excellent communication skills and the ability to manage, support and develop a team. You’ll take ownership for a wide range of projects and be comfortable problem-solving and making key business judgements.

You must have previous experience of running an Operational Security Team either as a Manager/Team Lead or have been a senior member of the team. Extensive experience of Information Security is also essential.

A CISM or CISSP qualification would be desirable, as would an awareness or experience of working in ITIL and Agile team environments.

If this sounds like you, please send your CV and Cover Letter and all applications considered on a rolling basis.
