Are you an experienced Credit Controller who is able to ensure that payments from our international customers run smoothly?

 

If so, this could be the ideal role for you.

 

We are looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, a head for numbers and solid Excel skills to join us as an International Credit Controller, based at our Distribution site in Frating, Colchester on a fixed term, full time basis (35 hours per week, for approx. 12 months).

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Managing ledger accounts, prioritising chase lists and targeting overdue accounts within agreed SLA’s
  • Allocating payments against invoices
  • Managing unallocated cash balances and chasing remittance advice
  • Completing sales ledger journals ready for processing 
  • Providing a high level of customer service and professionalism to both internal and external customers, establishing a good rapport
  • Minimising the risk of bad debt
  • Maintaining and updating relevant customer records
  • Investigation of customer claims/queries through to resolution
  • Liaising with the wider team to offer support, particularly during peak periods, to ensure everyone is meeting and exceeding targets/SLA’s
  • Liaising directly with publishers and customers
  • Undertaking general credit control duties and administration as required

 

To be successful in this role you will have a background in Finance, but most importantly you will be a fast learner who is able to pick up new systems and processes quickly. You’ll be confident in relationship building and will easily foster a strong rapport with our customers and the rest of the Credit Services team.

 

As you will be dealing with international business, you will have exposure to claims and cash collecting in multiple currencies. Knowledge of SAP would be helpful, but isn’t essential as training will be provided.
