OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Drive seamless trade, brand, and online readiness for the Publishing portfolio by ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality content, reports, and listings across all channels. The role focuses on enabling sales, online, and customer teams through strong coordination, data integrity, and proactive execution, while supporting customer engagements and resolving title-related queries within defined timelines. By maintaining robust reporting, up-to-date brand assets, error-free catalogues, and effective online listings including A+ content, the role strengthens brand visibility, operational efficiency, and customer confidence across trade, ecommerce, and internal stakeholders.

 

STAKEHOLDERS FOR THE ROLE

 

INTERNAL  :  Sales Team (Trade, Key Accounts, Distribution), Online / Ecommerce Team (Amazon, marketplaces, quick-commerce coordination), Marketing & Brand Team (Children’s, YA, MG), Editorial Team (title details, metadata, formats, series information), Production & Supply Chain (pricing, availability dates, formats, reprints), Finance Team (pricing accuracy, margins, reporting validation), Data & MIS / Analytics Team (reports, dashboards, data integrity)

 

EXTERNAL : Ecommerce Platforms (Amazon India & global marketplaces), Quick-commerce Platforms (Blinkit, Zepto, etc.), Distribution Partners & Agencies (PRH UK, children’s agencies, licensors), Retail & Trade Partners (bookstores, institutional buyers), Design / Creative Vendors (catalogues, brand sheets, presentations)

 

ROLE CONTRIBUTION AREAS 

Monthly Trade-Letter Children’s

  • Preparation and circulation of monthly trade letter (PRHUK + Agencies Children) within agreed timelines.
  • Accuracy of data (title details, ISBNs, pricing, metadata, availability dates).
  • Ensure A+ content for lead titles is uploaded on Amazon India.

 

Children’s Brand Wheel Report

  • Maintain and circulate all weekly/monthly reports for Children’s within agreed timelines.
  • Ensure 100% accuracy of data and consistency in report formatting.

 

Children’s Brand Sheets and Catalogues

 

Brand Sheets

  • Timely updating of brand sheets whenever a new title, format, or series announcement is made
  • Ensure circulation of updated brand sheets to relevant stakeholders proactively
  • Take ownership for accuracy, consistency, and relevance of information (titles, series focus, pricing, metadata).
  • Provide creative/format improvement ideas to make brand sheets more user-friendly and visually impactful.

 

Catalogues (YA & MG) : 

  • Update twice a year (May and October) — including all relevant titles, series, and formats.
  • Ensure price updates, format changes, and title/series relevance are accurately reflected.
  • Suggest and implement format/presentation changes to keep catalogues fresh and effective for trade and sales partners.
  • Deliver error-free catalogue within agreed deadlines (by mid-May and mid-October).

 

Customer & Title Queries

  • Support manager in preparing assets for customer meetings (presentations, title packs, etc.)
  • Proactive support in pulling data/reports for special requests.
  • Response to title/customer queries (Children’s titles) within SLA timelines.
  • Preparation of data/order forms accurately and on time.

 

Online Listings & A+

  • Ensure product listings and A+ content are updated and reflecting.
  • Coordinate with Online team for submission, follow-up, and confirmation of product listings (custom + focus titles).
  • Maintain and update a tracker for all listings, by capturing relevant data
  • Verify listings post-confirmation to ensure updates are correctly reflecting.
  • Weekly management of listings and A+ for Walker, Sourcebooks, and Custom Products (Children’s & Adult).

 

Coordination & Follow-ups

  • Strengthen internal coordination and ensure processes run smoothly.
  • Timely follow-up with internal teams (Sales, Online, etc.) for updates and requirements.
  • Zero delays in scheduled tasks due to pending follow-ups.

 

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • 1–3 years of experience in publishing, ecommerce operations, category management, or sales support, preferably within Children’s / Trade publishing.
  • Hands-on experience supporting sales, online, or key account teams with data, reports, and customer-facing assets.
  • Exposure to Amazon Seller/Vendor processes, online product listings, and A+ content management.
  • Ability to worki with multiple internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Editorial, Production) and external partners/agencies, and managing deadlines, follow-ups, and high-volume coordination without delays.
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data validation), PowerPoint for presentations and customer decks, and comfort with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive).
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Vendor Central / Seller Central (preferred).
  • Basic understanding of metadata standards used in publishing (ISBN, BISAC, pricing structures).
  •  Exceptional attention to detail and high accuracy orientation, strong planning, organization, and time-management skills, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask effectively, with proactive problem-solving mindset
  • Collaborative and stakeholder-friendly working style.
